Latania Franklin, LCSW, Owner
After graduating from Loyola University Chicago in 2014, Latania worked as a school social worker for 5 years in a public charter high school in Chicago. Once she obtained her LCSW license in 2018, Latania entered the world of private practice. As the result of her own healing journey, Latania has a special passion for and specializes in working with women who wants to heal from family and generational trauma. Latania’s main goal as a therapist is to help her clients reach their highest potential by helping them process their past so they can live the life they desire. Latania has mainly worked with minority and underrepresented populations.
Outside of her work, Latania loves listening to music, reading, engaging in her spiritual practices such as using crystals and mediating as well as dancing, and spending time with her son.
Jamilia Humphrey, LSW
is a Licensed Social Worker and Therapist. Jamilia is a compassionate advocate for mental health and healing. With a robust background in facilitating group therapy and expertise in therapeutic methods such as CBT, Motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
Jamilia specializes in providing individual therapy for individuals navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, PTSD and alcohol/Substance abuse. Initiating the path to therapy can be challenging with finding the right therapist that you connect with and developing a safe space. If you are ready to begin your journey she is here to help.
Demi Powell, MSW Intern
(she/her) is currently pursuing her MSW in Clinical Social Work at The University of Chicago, working towards becoming a clinical practitioner with a focus in Liberatory Psychology, Womanist intellectual frameworks, Somatic Therapy, Sex Therapy, and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy in Black + Brown communities specifically. Demi's work is rooted in examining holistic ways to restore well-being for Black women, and she hopes to achieve that through healing justice work, writing + narrative/storytelling, community building, and her work as a practitioner. She also has an interest in bridging psychology, astrology, spirituality, and philosophy into her work. Outside of working towards becoming a practitioner, Demi finds joy in exploring creative outlets like DJ'ing, film photography, and writing, as well as studying architecture and interior design.
